What We Love About Men

All too often, men hear women complaining and griping about the things that they do that tick women off. Obviously, there must be quite a lot about men that we dig – or we’d all swear off men forever. So, what are the qualities that men have that women just can’t live without? Check out five of the most important ones below.

You’re Strong – As archaic as it may seem, the fact that men are a lot stronger than us is generally a real turn on. We not only appreciate that strength because it helps us out – we like it because it makes us feel safe when we’re with you. You don’t have to be a muscleman, either; we’re impressed when you can open that jar or push our broken down car out of the road, too.

You’re Low Maintenance – While most women don’t want to hang out with slobbish men, we do admire the way that you get ready so quickly – and still manage to look hot. Guys are great at just jumping in and out of the shower, running a comb through their hair and being ready for the day. The no-fuss approach is definitely appealing, and is a huge part of what makes women love you so much.

You’re Pragmatic – Let’s face it: Many women add a healthy dose of drama to their problems. When something goes wrong, many women panic and freak out and make things ten times worse. Guys, on the other hand, are usually quite practical about problem solving and can help us keep our heads level. If we have a problem that can be solved, we know that you’ll be able to assist us. Your weak spot, though, are those emotional issues that aren’t so easy to define – but we’ll give you a pass on those.

You’re Protective – Most women don’t want a possessive guy, but in general we do like it when you make us feel safe and secure. Showing a tiny bit of jealousy makes us feel good, and most guys do that instinctively. If you feel that another man is honing in on your territory, you aren’t liable to take it sitting down. The fact that we can rely on that makes us feel good, and it makes us feel wanted – and it makes us love you that much more.

You’re Funny – Sometimes, women complain that men act like little boys half the time. However, that silliness is often a huge icebreaker and is a very welcome breath of fresh air. Although we don’t generally want to spend 99% of our time with Jim Carrey, we do appreciate a sharp sense of humor – even if it is a bit childish. The strong, silent type is great – but a great sense of humor can make up for a multitude of sins.
