It seems like a lot of attention goes to how women keep themselves groomed “below the belt” - but what about the fellas? As a guy, it's important to come up with some sort of policy about whether or not you keep things neat and clean down below. This is especially true if you expect the women you date to shave their nether regions; being a hypocrite is definitely not cool.

But how do women feel about the hair – down there – on their men? It largely depends on the individual woman, but there are a few good rules of thumb; DW delves a bit deeper below.

Au Natural: A Chick Repellant?
Some men swear that they never bring a razor anywhere near their crotchal region, and insist that they've never heard a negative comment from a single woman. The truth is, though, that most women aren't all that likely to voice their concerns about the bushy mess they find down below. When presented with a jungle of hair, most women simply “bite the bullet” and get on with it. Inside, though, you can guarantee that she's probably cringing and silently wishing that you'd at least make a tiny bit of effort. With straight sex it's one thing, but if you're looking for a bit of oral action then you need to keep it under control down there.

Keeping It Tidy
There's no rule that says you need to shave all of the hair off below the belt. In fact, few guys go that far. Think of that hair sort of how you'd think of your beard: You wouldn't want it looking like you just stuck a finger in a light socket, would you? Well, the same rule should apply to your pubes. If a woman unzips your pants and can see that hair before she even pulls down your boxers, then you know you've got a problem. Reign it in and take a pair of scissors – or an electric razor – to it pronto.

Fear Of Sharp Objects
Guys are understandably reticent to use sharp objects anywhere near the family jewels. Still, a little bit of steely resolve can help you get through the experience unscathed. The trick to trimming the hair down there is taking your time; don't try to set a world record for pube trimming or anything. Set aside a good hour; take a nice, long, hot shower and maybe drink a glass or two of wine to loosen yourself up a bit. Once you're “in the mood” - and mentally prepared – go for it. Your wife or girlfriend will surely thank you – and you'll probably find the sensation of sporting a lot less hair below the belt to be quite liberating to boot.

Don't Scare Her Away!
The thought of orally pleasuring a man who has a bushy mane of pubic hair is just not all that appealing to most women – even the ones who really enjoy doing it are likely to turn up their noses in disgust. Why risk rejection over something so trivial? Do you want to go through life missing out on oral action because you refuse to trim it up down there? Make trimming your pubes a regular part of your maintenance schedule and soon enough it will be like second nature – and you'll have a much more enthusiastic lover, too!
